Supporting the Leadership Team, the Communications Co-ordinator, is responsible to action requests and coordinating communications, social media, brand messages, and event organization consistent with the Co-operatives’ Brand.

What will you be responsible for:

• Provide an exceptional customer experience at every interaction.
• Under the guidance of Senior Management assist with the execution of communications and marketing strategy for AGRIS and Great Lakes Grain to raise the profile of the Co-operatives amongst a wide range of stakeholders both internal and external.
• Coordinate the development of marketing support materials, video, print, social media.
• Assist with the coordination of annual events i.e., MiField and Annual General Meeting activities, including supporting board activities under the guidance of the General Manager with elections and promo videos of directors.
• In partnership with the AGRIS Team, GROWMARK Partners and the leadership team help keep the social media platforms including website up to date.
• ensure the right voice for each platform is implemented, respond to comments, and engaging influencers.
• Work collaboratively and build positive relationships with the AGRIS, Great Lakes Grain and Growmark system teams, as well as customers.
• Understanding of web and social media metrics and ability provide progress reports to increase customers, customer experience, job applicants, brand recognition and more.
• Support the maintenance of organization wide content creation best practices to support consistency and enhancement of the brand.
• Monitoring press and social media stories/posts relating to the Co-operatives and their brands maximizing opportunities for positive engagement and addressing any member or community concerns.
• Developing and leading Co-operatives internal communications and communications of brand to internal stakeholders and employees.

Requirements for this Job:

• University Degree, College Diploma in Marketing, Communications Studies, or related field.
• High proficiency in English with both excellent verbal and written communications skills for various communication tools, modalities, and venues
• Strong attention to details
• Familiarity with software application such as, MS Office, with HTML, Web-editing, Web design, SharePoint, Canva, WordPress, etc.
• Experience with event coordination.
• Travel as required to support farm owner and branch needs.
